Cartoons Keep Order at Japanese Construction Sites

Two pink-and-white Hello Kitty figures are hanging off the barriers that separate pedestrians from the construction site outside the train station in one of Tokyo’s central night life and shopping districts.   Such figures along with others are placed on road barriers all over Japan to entertain road users who might otherwise consider construction sites as nuisances.
