Highway Work-Zone Safety Should be First Priority

A highway worker’s death prods his widow, Laurie, and her daughter to go public with their story to increase public awareness of the dangers of work zones. Laurie testified before congressional committees on bills against reckless driving in work zones and about speed cameras at work sites. Laurie and her daughter spoke at a national press conference in Washington during National Work Zone Awareness Week. The Mosers will also speak during Maryland’s “Choose Safety for Life” campaign event later in April.
