Highway Work Zone Speed Enforcement

Governor Deval Patrick joined the Massachusetts State Police, MassDOT, and state and federal officials today to kick off the work zone speed enforcement program, a one-year pilot program targeting at speeders in work zones. This initiative is created in response to the recent increase of speed related work zone accidents which had killed or injured troopers and cruisers. Under this initiative, police officers will be stationed at up to 12 construction sites each weekday starting Friday, November 4.
