Illinois State Police Spring Construction Zone Safety

With the arrival of spring, construction is underway. Illinois State Police District 1 troopers are actively patrolling construction zones and paying special attention to distracted driving and speed violations. On January 1, 2010, two new distracted driving laws went into effect in Illinois. Motorists are also reminded of the penalties for speeding violations.
