Intrusion Accidents on Highway Construction Projects

This study is a continuation of the initial investigation of intrusion accidents on NYSDOT projects. Its goal is to define the extent of intrusion accidents and the risks that they represent to construction workers and the traveling public. By establishing the characteristics of intrusion accidents, the locations where they occur, and other information, countermeasures to reduce and mitigate intrusions can be developed and implemented.
