Man Killed in Woodstock Work Zone Honored

Abstract:

Illinois transportation officials and the family of Ryan Nichols gathered at the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)’s Region 1 Headquarters in Schaumburg this week to unveil the National Work Zone Memorial Wall. Nichols was one of two IDOT workers killed on the job last year. The National Work Zone Memorial Wall was created by the American Traffic Safety Services Association to honor those killed in work zones. It travels around the country to raise awareness in work zone safety.
