Online Petition Now Available to Lobby for Work Zone Cameras in Ontario

Author/Presenter: Versace, Vince
Abstract:

The Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA) recently posted an online petition to help generate support for enactment of Bill 136. The bill was proposed in late November 2010. It allows for the employment of safety cameras in school zones, community centers, and construction zones to measure the travel speed. The bill has been supported by a large majority of Ontarian’s, especially local municipalities who continue to urge ORBA to raise awareness of the bill. ORBA plans to gain more support for the bill through the online petition as they continue to speak with municipalities.
