Risk Analysis Techniques for Safety Evaluation of Highway Work Zones
Author/Presenter: Elias, Ana Maria; Herbsman, Zohar J.Abstract:
This paper presents a summary of a comprehensive study associated with the development of a practical approach to address the issue of highway safety in construction zones. Because empirical models require sample sizes that are rather unattainable due to the intrinsic scarcity of construction-zone accident data, the problem was studied from the point of view of risk analysis.
