“Work Zone Alert” New Safety Buzzwords

The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Caltrans, and the California Office of Traffic Safety have launched a new “Be Work Zone Alert” campaign to help save lives on the roadway.   This public awareness campaign reminds everyone that highway workers have families and loved ones who are counting on motorists to ‘Be Work Zone Alert’ and help save lives.   This campaign features an array of public service announcements and nearly 60 billboards across the state on which the children of highway workers remind drivers to stay alert in California work zones.
