Plan Work Zone Traffic Control

In Planning Work Zone Traffic Control, participants will learn to apply the appropriate traffic control plan (TCP) or typical application (TA) for different scenarios they may encounter out in the field i.e. edge drop off, mobile operations, crack seal, guard rail replacement. Participants are required to successfully complete an end of course examination proving competency or attainment of the course objectives.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the work zone evaluation process.
  • Apply the appropriate TCP or TA for routine work zone traffic control operations.
  • Discuss why a TCP or TA may require an adjustment.
  • Discuss when an engineer’s approval is needed.
