The Flagger / El Abanderado o Banderillero

This Spanish-language video is a component of a flagger certification program. It depicts the flagger’s job as difficult but important, and prepares flagging personnel for motorist hostility and a variety of traffic situations. The video presents the ideal character traits of the flagger, clothing and safety attire, tools, work station, use of the stop/slow sign and hand signals, and advance warning signs. Typical day and night work situations are introduced. Emphasis is on alertness, public service and public relations. / Este video en español es un componente de un programa de certificación flagger. Representa el trabajo del embajador como difí­cil pero importante, y prepara el personal que señala para la hostilidad del motorista y una variedad de situaciones del tráfico. El video presenta los rasgos de carácter ideales del flagger, ropa y traje de seguridad, herramientas, estación de trabajo, el uso de la señal de stop / slow y señales de mano, y señales de advertencia anticipadas. Se presentan situaciones tí­picas de trabajo diurno y nocturno. Se hace hincapií© en el estado de alerta, el servicio público y las relaciones públicas.
