Drive Smart in Work Zones

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) brought awareness to the importance of work zone safety for the entire month of April. MDOT ran a public education campaign throughout the month, which included worker testimonials, safety tips and work zone education. MDOT held a Fallen Worker Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony on Tuesday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at its Administrative Headquarters in Jackson, Miss. This ceremony unveiled the name of a worker who was killed in the line of duty in 2017.
