Flagger training and certification requirements

From North Dakota Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction:
“Flaggers.
Before individuals will be allowed to perform flagging, the Engineer must receive written verification that the flaggers provided for the project have passed the written examination found at http://www.ndsc.org/. Furnish each flagger with the North Dakota Flagging Handbook. Ensure each flagger observes the rules and regulations contained in the North Dakota Flagging Handbook. If there are any differences between the requirements in the handbook and specifications, the specifications will govern over the handbook. The handbook is available for download at www.ndltap.org and at http://www.ndsc.org/.”
