Lane closures in rainy weather
NHDOT does not have a rain requirement for lane closures, long-term or short-term. In the case of short-term lane closures, if heavy rain was forecast that would affect contractor work activities, the contractor would likely discontinue it in cooperation with the State’s Contract Administrator. Long-term lane closures, such as those used in connection with bridge work, could likely not be discontinued due to the stage of the work.
