Time frame allowed for lane closure setup (e.g., 9:00am to 3:30pm)
In Kentucky, lane closure restrictions are typically evaluated on a project-by- project basis. Lane closure restrictions are most commonly found on fully controlled-access highways. Restrictions may be applied due to high-volume hours, holidays, special events, etc. There are no specific instructions on what time the signs can be put up in relation to the end of the restriction. Contractors are allowed to have the signs ready to go prior to the restriction. The time limits apply only to actual closure of the lanes.
