Vehicle warning lights

Mississippi DOT has not done any specific research regarding vehicle warning light effectiveness.
Rotating halogen, strobe, and LED warning lights are allowed on MsDOT vehicles.
Maintenance, construction,and emergency callout vehicles are required to use lights.
There have been no problems with any type of warning lights.
The department does not track the age and effectiveness of lights on state-owned vehicles.
The department does not require warning lights for private contractor vehicles in work zones.
There are no specification languages for warning light purchases.
LED lights cannot be the sole warning lights used on vehicles.
Vehicle warning lights must meet MUTCD Regulations and FHWA Guidelines.
Mississippi does not have plow trucks.
