Vehicle warning lights

The department requires warning lights for private contractor vehicles in work zones.
Lights are addressed in Item 619.3.1.6: “For the protection of traffic, all equipped vehicles used on the project with amber flashing lights or rotating lights must be visible from 360 degrees around the vehicle. The flashing light system shall be in continuous operation while the vehicle is on any part of the traveled lanes, shoulders or ramps within the construction zone.”
