Warning lights on channelizing devices
Wyoming has minimized the use of warning lights on drums, barricades, and temporary signs. They have not been used to any great extent for several years. Maintenance of the devices was very poor, and WyDOT switched to a brighter grade of sheeting on work zone traffic control devices. WyDOT felt that the brighter sheeting was a better solution to most situations than flashing warning lights. Some AC or solar powered beacons are used from time to time.
