2003 Mid-West Work Zone Safety Conference, Exhibit, & Health Fair

Abstract:

More than 300 transportation construction industry professionals from across the nation came to Springfield, IL last December 2-5, for the “2003 Mid-West Work Zone Safety Conference, Exhibit, & Health Fair.” The conference featured professional development sessions, an exhibition featuring roadway work zone safety products, workshops and general information sessions. The conference also featured the presentation of the third annual “Roadway Work Zone Safety Awareness Awards.” The awards competition recognizes specific projects, programs, education campaigns and innovations that demonstrate excellence in promoting worker and motorist safety in roadway construction zones.
