ARDOT Hosts Oklahoma Department of Transportation to Showcase Speed Enforcement Cameras

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) hosted the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) to demonstrate Arkansas’ work-zone speed enforcement camera system, implemented after a 2023 legislative change. ARDOT reports a 25% reduction in crashes since the cameras were introduced. Oklahoma officials, including ODOT Director Tim Gatz, observed the technology and its operations, expressing interest in pursuing similar measures in their state.
