Arizona LTAP Brings Work Zone Safety Awareness to State Capitol

Abstract:

Construction work zones can be dangerous to workers and motorists alike. The Arizona LTAP recognized National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week this spring by bringing the National Work Zone Memorial to their state capitol. The traveling memorial displayed the names of 823 transportation workers, motorists, pedestrians, law enforcement officers, public safety officials, and children who were killed in work zones.
