ARTBA’s Roadway Construction Zone Safety Program Receives National Award

ARTBA has been selected a winner in the 2002 “Associations Advance America” awards competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). ARTBA was recognized for its overall “Roadway Construction Zone Safety Program.” ARTBA currently is developing a driver’s education module on navigating construction zones for the U.S. Department of Transportation. It is targeted at new, teen drivers. Now in its 12th year, the prestigious “Associations Advance America” awards program recognizes associations that propel America forward-with innovative projects in education, skills training, standards-setting, business and social innovation, knowledge creation, citizenship and community service.
