ATSSA Seeks Nat’l Work Zone Awareness Week Hosts

Abstract:

The American Traffic Safety Services Association is accepting applications from state departments of transportation to host the main event for the 2025 National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW), scheduled for April 15-19, 2024. Deadline is February 29. The annual campaign aims to draw attention to the risks faced by highway workers, motorists, and vehicle passengers in roadway work zones. The chosen state host will play a crucial role in determining the theme, designing the annual poster, and planning the national kickoff event to promote work zone safety. The NWZAW Executive Committee will announce the selected state and runner-up during the April 2024 kickoff event hosted by Maryland. The Missouri Department of Transportation hosted the 2023 NWZAW kickoff event.
