Caltrans Wants Teens to ‘Slow down for the Cone Zone’ :Offers Education and a Chance to Win a New Car and Year of Insurance
Abstract:The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is launching a new statewide driver safety education campaign urging teens to “Slow for the Cone Zone.” Caltrans is offering participating high school students a chance to win a new Toyota Scion xA, tires, rims and car insurance for a year. “Slow for the Cone Zone” uses classroom materials and private driver’s training to teach teens to be watchful and lay off the gas in highway construction and repair zones.
