Consortium Issues Guidance for Safer Work Zones

Abstract:

The Roadway Safety Consortium issued guidelines under its Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) grant for state Department of Transportation (DOT) personnel, highway designers, construction supervisors and contractors to use when working in highway work zones. The guidelines cover access and egress, speed management, motorcycle/bicycle accomodation, and a variety of other issues related to work zones.
