Customer Relations for the Highway and Maintenance Community

Abstract:

This article is the first in a four-part series which will give an overview of customer relation topics for the highway and maintenance community that were reviewed during the Customer Oriented Workshop held by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). This series discusses credibility, customer recognition, customer communication, a customer-focused highway construction community, public awareness on construction practices, credibility and safety with customers, and an informed customer base.
