Field Performance Evaluation Results of Flashing Arrow Panels (Arrowboards) & Portable Changeable Message Signs (PCMS)

Abstract:

Eleven signs were submitted for the 2008 National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) evaluations: four full size Portable Changeable Message Signs (PCMSs), three medium size PCMSs and four Flashing Arrow Panels (FAPs). This report contains data collected according to laboratory testing and field evaluation protocols developed through consensus-based decision by the AASHTO’s NTPEP Oversight Committee.
