Governor Signs Work Zone Safety Bill into Law

Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana state has signed Senate Bill 338 into law. Effective July 1, all traffic violations in highway work zones will carry steeper penalties, with fines to be reinvested in additional work zone patrols. The bill builds on legislation passed in 2007, which increased penalties for speeding and reckless driving.
