Groups Working to Get Traffic Moving After Collisions
Abstract:The Washington State Patrol, Washington State Department of Transportation, and Washington Fire Chiefs recently signed a Joint Operations Policy Statement (JOPS) to ensure the public of more efficient emergency response. Each agency has its role specified in JOPS in terms of traffic management, ferry security, work zone safety, and efficient emergency response. The goal of JOPS is to have all lanes open within 90 minutes after a traffic incident.
