It contains basic principles, a description of the standard traffic control devices used in work areas, guidelines for the application of the devices, and typical application diagrams. Also, information concerning proper flagging is presented. This handbook gives the basic principles and provides examples for the design, application, installation, and maintenance of the various types of traffic control devices used in temporary traffic control or for incident management.
