House Committee OKs Speed Cameras for Work Zones

Indiana State Rep. Ed Soliday won committee approval for his legislation authorizing cameras to enforce speed limits in work zones and photograph motorists driving around stopped school buses. House Bill 1404 was amended by the Roads and Transportation Committee to clarify that speed cameras only could be placed in work zone areas where the normal route is diverted, road surface significantly disturbed or road construction machinery is located.
