How Workforce Development Equipment Training Is Shaping ITD’s Future

Author/Presenter: Lumley, Eric
Abstract:

The Idaho Transportation Department’s (ITD) Workforce Development Equipment Training program is strengthening the agency’s operational capabilities through the leadership of three standout trainers: John Eastwood (District 1), Jeremy Jensen (District 5), and Dallas Dupree (District 6 / District 3). Each brings a unique style. Eastwood’s calm and hands-on instruction, Jensen’s passionate and adaptive training, and Dupree’s experienced, dependable guidance all help develop the next generation of skilled equipment operators. Together, they provide comprehensive, safety-focused training on a wide range of equipment and procedures across all six ITD districts. Their work not only enhances operator competency but also promotes safety, professionalism, and the long-term efficiency of ITD’s statewide operations.
