Joint Effort Aimed at Increasing Construction Zone Safety

Author/Presenter: Guirola, Jamie; Benka, Chris
Abstract:

Drivers are getting frustrated trying to navigate the endless road construction in Las Vegas that they say is very confusing. According to the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), the work zones are set up per the requirements of county, state, and local government and there is nothing they can do to ease the confusion. In order to get motorists to pay more attention, NUCA and the Metro Police have teamed up to increase enforcement in work zones.
