MDOT State Equipment Operators Roadeo Winners Announced

Abstract:

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) hosted its annual State Equipment Operators Roadeo on June 5 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, highlighting employee expertise in vehicle operation and heavy equipment handling. Top performers from district-level competitions across the state competed in various skill-based events, including dump truck driving, backhoe operation, and motor grader control. District 5 (Newton) was named Overall State Roadeo Champion. Event winners will advance to the Southeast Regional Roadeo in Lexington, KY, this September. The Roadeo serves as both a professional development opportunity and a platform for recognizing operational excellence.
