“Mobile Speed Van” to Debut in the Springs
Abstract:The Colorado Springs Police Department will start using a mobile speed van on April 5 to detect speeders in residential areas, construction zones, near parks, and school zones. From April 5 through May 4, all drivers caught speeding by the van will receive a warning only in the mail. After the 30 day warning period, those who exceed the speed limit for less than nine mph will receive a warning in the mail on their first time and those who go beyond that will receive a fine.
