MoDOT Putting New Warning Lights on Trucks
Abstract:Missouri’s Transportation Department said this week it’s installed new strobe lights on maintenance vehicles including dump trucks and, next winter, snow plows, to warn motorists of their presence. The decision to use strobe lights after more than 40 years of using revolving warning lights was based on the technology and the use of strobes on a number of other emergency response vehicles, like ambulances and fire trucks, as well as on school buses, utility company vehicles, mobile home movers and commercial airlines.
