MoDOT Urges Football Fans to Plan Ahead for Work Zones

Abstract:

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is reminding football fans to plan ahead when traveling on Interstate 70 during game days as construction continues on the Improve I-70 project. The project, funded through Missouri’s FY2024 budget, will add a third lane in each direction along nearly 200 miles of I-70 from Blue Springs to Wentzville. MoDOT advises motorists to expect delays, especially near active work zones such as mile markers 188–193 in Warrenton, and to allow extra travel time. Drivers are encouraged to check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map, sign up for project updates, and follow all work zone safety measures, including reduced speed limits and changing lane configurations.
