Mounties Crack Down on Speeding: Drivers Still Going Too Fast in Construction Zones, Say Police
Author/Presenter: Babstock, CraigAbstract:
The provincial government doubled the fines for speeding in construction zones in 2007, but police say motorists in New Brunswick are still driving too fast. In a little over three hours police issued 61 tickets for speeding in one construction zone, which includes one motorist travelling at 160 km/h. For the safety of both workers and motorists, police plan to conduct enforcement throughout the construction season using radar detectors.
