‘Move Over’ Law in Spotlight After Worker Death
Abstract:A highway worker was killed while operating a work vehicle. The incident has pulled attention to Indiana’s “Move over and slow down” law, which requires motorists to slow down and move when approaching construction zones or emergency workers on the side of the road. Motorists can be fined as much as $10,000 for violating the move over law.
