Nebraska DOT Holds 2025 Snowplow Roadeo Contest

Abstract:

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) recently hosted the 2025 Snowplow Roadeo at the Nebraska Safety Center in Kearney, showcasing the skills and safety expertise of snowplow operators from across the state. Following district-level competitions, top teams advanced to the statewide event for a chance to represent Nebraska nationally. Jim Paulsen and Justin Polk from Chappell (District 5) won first place, with runners-up Ryan Kozal and John Saxton, also from District 5, joining them at the upcoming national competition in Loveland, Colorado. NDOT emphasized the Roadeo’s role in promoting safety and preparedness for winter road maintenance challenges.
