New Proposal May Set Limits for Speed Cameras

The state says the speed photo enforcement program was put in place for safety, but many people say it’s all about the money. Last year alone the program ticketed nearly half a million drivers, and generated $19 million in revenue. Senator Jim Brochin is seeking to tweak the program; changing the law to where the cameras only operate when there is atleast one worker present.
