No Speed Limit Signs in Construction Zones

Abstract:

Some motorists want to know why there are no speed limit signs posted in a work zone along route 400. Captain Steven Nigrelli with the New York State Police said there are actually two types of contruction zones. He said: “If you come into a construction zone where the speed’s reduced there’s going to be plenty of signage posted advising you of the reduced speed, there are a lot of constructions zones out there though that the speed hasn’t been reduced, we’re just emphasizing exercise due caution when entering any construction zone.” Those contruction zones are like this one on the 400. If you are unsure, it’s better to be safe than sorry and slow down while driving through these construction zones.
