NYCLU: Privacy Protections Needed in Paterson’s Speed-Enforcement Legislation
Author/Presenter: Quinlan, Casey LeighAbstract:
The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU)’s Capital Region chapter is raising concerns about Gov. David A. Paterson’s proposal to generate $32.9 million in revenues in 2010-2011 by setting up 40 speed-enforcement cameras in different work zones along the Thruway. The criticism is about the proposal not containing the privacy protections for individuals.
