Operation Hardhat Is an Effort to Keep Work Zones Safe

Using an already existing work zone, the New York State Police and the Department of Transportation teamed up in Saratoga County to continue “Operation Hardhat,” an effort to crack down on work zone violations and highlight the importance of safe driving through active construction and maintenance work zones on state highways. They enforce work zone speed limits and ticket violators of the state’s Move Over Law, which applies to emergency and work vehicles.
