Pa. Legislators Consider Cameras to Slow Down Drivers in Work Zones
Author/Presenter: Schmitz, JonAbstract:
Senate Bill 840, co-sponsored by Sens. David Argall, R-Schuylkill, and Judith Schwank, D-Berks, would establish a five-year pilot program to place speed cameras in work zones. Drivers who are caught going 11 mph or more over the posted limit would receive a citation in the mail. The Pennsylvania legislation would funnel all revenue from citations into work-zone safety improvements.
