Policy Memo 30: Utilization of Law Enforcement in Work Zones

This memo sets the policy for the use of law enforcement officers in Colorado Department of Transportation work zones to provide dynamic traffic control, presence, enforcement, and emergency assistance. A list of factors that need to be considered when determining the need for active law enforcement and the training requirements for law enforcement officers are also provided.
