‘Potomac Secret Agent’ Fights Speed Cameras
Abstract:“Speed Camera Ahead!” signs made by a mystery resident known as the “Potomac Secret Agent” are placed near speed camera locations along roads in Potomac, Maryland, to warn drivers of speed cameras. “I’m not against speed cameras, per se, but I think we need to have some sort of oversight on where the speed cameras are located,” said an associate of the Potomac Secret Agent. There have been many vocal critics of local speed camera programs. According to Montgomery County Police, those signs, in effect, accomplish what they try to do with speed cameras by alerting drivers and causing them to slow down in areas where they want them to.
