Program Seeks to Keep Teen Drivers “Between the Barrels”: Houston County Students Get Update on New Laws

Author/Presenter: Knight, Sharon
Abstract:

The Between the Barrels program focuses on keeping highway construction workers and troopers safe, it also carries messages applicable to any situation involving a motor vehicle. This is the second year a team of presenters from the Department of Transportation and Tennessee Highway patrol presented the program to Houston County High School students. In additional to tragic stories about motor vehicle accidents, students were also briefed on a new law that prohibits texting while driving.
