Recent Wrecks Focus Attention on Work-Zone Safety for Drivers

Author/Presenter: Cooper, Brad
Abstract:

Recent work zone wrecks have proven fatal for Missouri motorists. In a two week time span, three fatalities and four serious injuries have resulted from work zone crashes. Authorities in Missouri and Kansas have recently increased spending on highway work zone safety in order to provide drivers with a better sense of awareness as they travel through work zones. However, experts conclude that a majority of accidents are a direct result of inattentive driving, not flawed work zone setup.
