From Road Design to Training, MDOT Focus is on Safety

Abstract:

As part of the effort to promote the “Toward Zero Deaths” (TZD) national highway safety strategy, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has implemented a number of projects across the Upper Peninsula designed to make highways safer for everyone. Beyond the statewide education and awareness campaign, MDOT’s Superior Region has undertaken several initiatives that incorporate safety, from design to training, into operation, project development, construction, and maintenance.
